BP puts cost of Tangguh LNG 3rd train at $11 billion

Jakarta—The Indonesian unit of BP and its partners plan to spend $11 billion to build the third train at the Tangguh LNG project, which is expected to have a capacity of 3.8 million mt/year, BP CEO Robert Dudley said March 24 at a signing ceremony in Jakarta. The $11 billion will be invested in stages, and the partners are committed to allocating 40% of the third train’s production to the domestic market, Indonesian energy and mines minister Jero Wacik said.
