Chevron finds more gas near Wheatstone

Sydney-Chevron has continued its run of drilling success off Western Australia, making its 11th natural gas discovery in two years in an area which could supply an expansion of the Wheatstone LNG project, the US major said late October 27. The latest find comes at two wells, Acme West-1 and Acme West-2, in the Carnarvon Basin permit WA-205-P, which is 67% owned by Chevron and 33% by Shell. The finds add resources adjacent to the Acme discovery, made in 2010.
