Connacher oil and Gas restarts search for a buyer

Vancouver-Oil sands developer and refiner Connacher Oil and Gas has reopened its search for a possible buyer by hiring investment banker Goldman Sachs to explore strategic options. The Calgary-based company made the announcement January 20 following a six- week period when it rejected an unsolicited takeover offer from an unnamed bidder and its top executives made an abrupt departure, including CEO Richard Gusella.
