UK's Ascent sets back first gas from slovenia block

London-UK-listed Ascent Resources has pushed back to the middle of next year its forecast for first natural gas from its landmark Petisovci tight gas project in Slovenia, the company said September 7. The company had hoped to start gas production at the end of this year or early 2012. "The intention is to commence commercial gas production at Petisovci around the middle of 2012 following the installation of a CO2 reduction plant and a short pipeline connecting the wells to the national gas grid," the company said in its first-half results statement.
