US West Coast draws Asian jet fuel, exports gasoline

Houston—Asia has been sending product cargoes into the US West Coast at a brisk pace, while the US region has been moving a near-equal amount of vessels to Latin America. Traders, shipping sources and Platts vessel-tracking software cTrack showed more than a half-dozen vessels carrying primarily jet fuel en route from Asia to the West Coast. At the same time, nearly the same amount was loading from the West Coast for Latin America, including gasoline despite record high prices in California.
