Algiers—Algeria will drill its first offshore exploration well in 2013 or 2014, the country’s oil minister Youcef Yousfi said, as Algiers looks to intensify its exploration activity. Speaking on national radio on October 10, Yousfi said locations for the first offshore oil and gas exploration in Algeria were currently being studied. “We know where the first well will be drilled,” he said.
