South Korea refiner Hyundai Oilbank reports Q3 loss

Seoul-South Korea's fourth-largest refiner, Hyundai Oilbank, said November 18 it recorded a net loss of Won 64.6 billion ($57 million) in the third quarter, compared with a net profit of Won 63 billion a year ago, due to foreign exchange losses. Those currency woes wiped out an operating profit that surged more than nine times to Won 144.8 billion in the quarter ended September, compared with Won 15.8 billion last year, and revenue that jumped 48.2% to Won 5.07 trillion.
