Jerusalem-Israel hopes to decide by the end of the first quarter of 2012 on a natural gas export policy, the country's first attempt to determine an energy export stance following the discovery of huge quantities of gas off its Mediterranean coast. Israel's gas reserves are estimated at over 750 billion cubic meters at the Leviathan, Tamar and Dalit offshore fields and are expected to rise sharply as offshore exploration intensifies.
