Halliburton sues BP over Macondo well data

London-Halliburton has filed a lawsuit in a Texas court against BP arguing the oil major provided it with inaccurate information about the deepwater well that blew out and spewed almost 5 million barrels of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico in April 2010. The oil services giant said its suit, filed against BP on September 1, cites "negligent misrepresentation, business disparagement and defamation related to the April 20, 2010, Macondo blowout."
