Norway's DNo, UAE's RAK finalize merger agreement

Copenhagen-Norway's DNO International and UAE-based RAK Petroleum signed September 3 their $1.6 billion deal to merge RAK's Middle East and North Africa subsidiaries into DNO, finalizing an agreement first made in July (ON 7/4). The transaction is tantamount to a merger between the two Middle East-focused companies because all of RAK's directly owned assets are in the Middle East and North Africa region.
