Pertamina starts building RFCC at Cilacap refinery

Jakarta—Indonesia’s Pertamina December 28 started construction of a 62,000 b/d residue fluid catalytic cracker at its Cilacap refinery in Central Java, marking the launch of the stateowned oil and gas company’s refinery upgrade plans. The RFCC, which requires total investment of $1.4 billion, is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2014, Pertamina CEO Karen Agustiawan said.
