US weekly retail gasoline use off 0.6% from year ago

New York-US retail gasoline consumption in the survey week ended April 29 dropped 0.6% from the year-ago week, with 64.101 million barrels of gasoline consumed as prices continued to rise, MasterCard Advisors said May 3. Last week's consumption was a decline of 652,000 barrels from the previous week ended April 22 and amounted to an average 9.157 million b/d consumed, down from 9.25 million b/d, MasterCard Advisors said.
