PLN exits Java floating LNG terminal project

Jakarta-Indonesia's state-owned power utility Perusahaan Listrik Negara has decided to pull out of a consortium to build a floating LNG receiving terminal and regasification facility in western Java due to lack of financing. But the company is still committed to honoring its offtake commitments, PLN's newly appointed president director, Dahlan Iskan, said January 13. "We think the project may be able to be accelerated if there are not too many parties involved," he added.
