Tokyo-Japanese refiners are confident they can secure crude oil from other countries should there be tighter sanctions against Iran, a senior official from Japanese refiner Cosmo Oil said October 8. “The companies should be able to find alternatives for such crudes as Iranian Heavy,” Masayoshi Ishino, executive officer and general manager of Cosmo Oil’s crude oil and tanker department, told reporters at a briefing in Tokyo.
