Russia’s Gazprom buoyed by increasing gas output

Moscow-Russian gas giant Gazprom increased its natural gas production to 365.5 billion cubic meters in the first nine months of 2010, up 15% compared with the same period last year, CEO Alexei Miller said October 8. At a meeting with Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Miller said the increase was due mainly to a rise in domestic gas consumption.
