Pakistan suspends carbon tax on retail fuels; Supreme Court lifts new surcharge while it undertakes review

Karachi, Pakistan-Pakistan's Supreme Court late July 7 issued an interim order for the suspension of the carbon surcharge on fuel, which came into effect July 1, while it looks into the recommendations of a judicial commission it appointed in May to examine the formula used to set retail fuel prices in the country.
