London-A delegation from the European Union is to meet with representatives from Russian gas giant Gazprom January 6 to discuss the company’s current gas supply dispute with Ukraine, European Commission energy spokesman Ferran Tarradellas said January 5. The EU’s reaction comes as Eastern European countries have reported varying degrees of disruption caused by the cutoff of Russian supplies to Ukraine over a pricing dispute, and analysts predict industrial consumers in the region will start being affected in the coming days.
