Kuwait City-Kuwait Petroleum Corporation last month started an internal investigation into allegations of a large-scale diesel smuggling operation from Kuwait to Iraq and has since suspended between 15 and 20 employees thought to be involved, industry insiders told Platts October 26. The investigation was run by a committee whose members included executives from KNPC, production arm Kuwait Oil Company and KNPC's jet fuel reseller Kuwait Aviation Fueling Company.
