Singapore—Chinese wholesale spot prices rose March 25 after the government announced a hike in official domestic retail prices of gasoil and gasoline, which prompted a flurry of buying interest from domestic oil traders.Platts assessed the wholesale spot price of zero-pour gasoil in Guangzhou at Yuan 4,400-4,450/mt ($647/mt) on March 25, up Yuan 200/mt from March 18. The price of 93 RON gasoline went up by Yuan 590/mt to Yuan 6,070-6,120/mt over the same period.
