China refiners push crude runs to new high

Hong Kong-Chinese refiners raised their crude throughput in November to a new record high amid improving oil products demand and better margins following a price increase. China's crude throughput rose to 33.36 million mt (8.22 million b/d) in November, breaking a previous record high of 33.29 million mt set in October, recent figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics showed. In comparison, crude throughput in November 2008 stood at 27.57 million mt.
