Moscow—Despite assurances that it would not be subject to Kazakhstan’s new crude export duty, the BG Group and Eni-led consortium operating the giant Karachaganak oil and gas condensate field in northwestern Kazakhstan said July 14 it had been forced to pay 83 million in duty for the month of July.
