Indian MRPL’s quarterly profit rises 130%

Singapore—Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited, the only refinery in state-owned Indian upstream giant Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’s stable, lifted net profit 129.6% year on year to Rupees 8.45 billion (197.3 million) in the quarter ended June 30, mainly on inventory gains from high crude prices.
