Moody's warns on US ethanol company profits, ratings

New York-US ethanol prices will likely be depressed through 2009, Moody's Investors Service said November 5 in a report.The ratings agency also warned producer profits will be weak "well into 2008" until production expansion slows, and that there could be "negative pressure" on the ratings of pure play producers like VeraSun Energy Corporation and Aventine Renewable Energy.
