Development drilling begins at Cheal field

Singapore-Austral Pacific Energy began drilling the first of the development wells in the Cheal oil field in New Zealand's onshore Taranaki Basin October 10.The Cheal oil field is in Petroleum Mining Permit 38156, in which Austral Pacific holds a 36.5% interest and is the operator.
