China says survey finds 2006 crude use to rise 5%

Hong Kong-China's demand for crude will rise steadily this year to 320 million mt (6.4 million b/d), up 5% from last year, while crude imports will remain strong, growth in domestic output will be stable and crude exports will fall, the Ministry of Commerce said in a survey that it conducted at the end of June and released over the weekend.
