Shell Canada targets large spending boost

Sydney-Shell Canada expects to boost its spending by nearly 50% to C4 billion (3.5 billion) in 2007, with the lion's share to be used for its oil sands projects, the company said November 23. The investment plan for next year includes more than C3.6 billion of capital expenditure and almost C400 million of related exploration and predevelopment expenses.
