Statoil expands Norne field, improves oil recovery

London-Norway's Statoil has completed an expansion project at its Norne field in the Norwegian Sea which should help the company achieve its target of maintaining output from the Norwegian Continental Shelf at 1 million b/d of oil equivalent until 2015, the company said October 18.
