Russia opts to impose crude import duty on Belarus

London-Russia has decided to impose export taxes on crude shipments to Belarus, closing a loophole which had effectively allowed Belarus to import Russian crude without paying duty, making refining more profitable in the former Soviet state than in Russia itself.
