New York-September crude futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell 35 cents to 75.46/barrel August 3 as the threat from Tropical Storm Chris faded.NYMEX gasoline bounced nearly 4 cents off its intra-day low of 2.2550/gal to settle down 4.43 cents at 2.2934/gal, while September RBOB settled 4.7 cents lower at 2.3654/gal.
