Chinese October fuel imports down 30%

Hong Kong-China imported 1.87 million mt of fuel oil in October, down 30% from 2.67 million mt in September, according to figures obtained November 23 from the Chinese General Administration of Customs. The country has trimmed its fuel oil imports over the past four months after reaching a recent high of 3.29 million mt in June. Fuel oil imports in October were 4.6% down on the year-earlier level of 1.96 million mt.
