US EIA cuts crude price forecast,but still sees 2006 average over US60

The US Energy Information Administration March 7 dropped its second-quarter West Texas Intermediate crude spot price forecast to US64.50/bar-rel,down US1.50 from its prediction a month ago.But continued steady world demand growth,combined with onty modest increases in spare world capacity,should to keep crude oil prices above US60/barrel through 2006,EIA said in Its Short-Term Energy Outlook for March.
