Jakarta-Indonesian state oil and gas company Pertamina and private upstream player Medco Energi Internasional have shortlisted three Japanese companies, including Mitsubishi and Mitsui, as their preferred partners to build an LNG plant in Central Sulawesi, a senior official close to the negotiations said November 3. "All the three shortlisted parties are Japanese companies," the official said. "We are now studying and negotiating further with each company to choose the best one."
