Bangkok-Thailand has offered 82 onshore and offshore blocks spanning 440,704 sq km in its 19th petroleum licensing round with many of the blocks near producing fields,a senior government official said July 28.Of the 82 blocks,64 are onshore,12 are in the Gulf of Thailand and six are in the Andaman Sea,said Krairit Nilkuha,deputy director-general at the Department of Mineral Fuels."We expect numerous bidders from existing operators in Thailand and new companies since many of these blocks are located near producing fields," Krairit told P/atts.
