With crude prices around US60/bbl and the end of cheap Iraqi oil supplies,energy-poor Jordan is considering options to cut its huge import bill,including scrapping state subsidies on oil products,officials say.New Prime Minister Adnan Badran said recently the government was studying"several options"to offset the burden on the annual budget due to the rising cost of oil imports,expecting"alternative sources of energy"to cut the energy bill by half.
