EPA gives more time on low-sulfur diesel

The US Environmental Protection Agency late May 27 said it will extend by about six weeks to Oct 15,2006,the date by which retailers must comply with a tighter diesel fuel sulfur rule.The new rule will require 80% of the diesel fuel sold for on-road purposes to contain no more than 15 parts per million sulfur.
