Iraqi oil minister Ibrahim Bahr al-Ulum Oct 3 survived an apparent assassination attempt in which two of his bodyguards were killed,the national television channel Al-Iraqiya reported.The report said two other bodyguards were injured.BBC reported gunmen fired on a convoy carrying the minister at about 0930 local time(0630 GMT)in western Baghdad.But oil ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said the minister's convoy was struck by a remote-controlled roadside bomb near Taji in northern Baghdad.Jihad said Bahr al-Ulum was on his way to inaugurate the rehabilitated Baiji refinery north of Baghdad when he was attacked.
