New York-US spot lube values moved sideways in October,despite WTI soaring 14.29 a barrel,Platts data shows.Ample supply has held back lube values,industry sources said."Forget about cost push (the price of crude) on trading levels.No customer in October or now is having trouble finding whatever it needs.So it's been hard for producers to push through a postings change which would affect the spot market," one refiner explained Thursday.
