NYMEX crude drops,ignoring support factors

New York-December crude futures on NYMEX settled 75 cents lower at 85.27/barrel October 23,shrugging off gains in the US equity markets and a weaker US dollar.The US Dollar Index on ICE Futures were down nearly 50 points to 77.57 at the close of open outcry,which should have supported oil values,but did not.
