Resid/bunkers:Gulf Coast slurry tightens

Supplies of US Gulf Coast slurry oil have tightened dramatically in recent weeks,squeezed by recent exports to Singapore and Northwest Europe as well as strong blending demand for utility grades of 1% sulfur fuel oil,market sources said Tuesday.Discounts for low sulfur slurry grades were talked Tuesday on the USGC between 1.50 and 3/barrel below the low end of Platts'3% sulfur fuel oil assessment price for low metal material,a good quality slurry that is typically blended into utility grades of fuel oil.By comparison,that same slurry quality was trading at discounts as low as 9/b below 3%S prices last September.
