PetroChina buys CNPC assets

Hong Kong-Chinese integrated oil giant PetroChina said June 10 it had agreed June 9 to pay Yuan 20.74-bil (2.51-bil) to buy 50% of the upstream assets held by parent China National Petroleum Corp.The deal covers CNPC's assets in 11 countries:Kazakhstan,Venezuela,Algeria,Peru,Oman,Azerbaijan,Canada,Ecuador.Niger,Chad and China.
