Outright barges in Europe pushed 1.50/mt higher Thursday but with activity muted.Traders talked of their desire to store summer grade components,to take advantage of the steep contango.Correspondingly,the price of alkylate and reformate have been pushing higher and higher,traders said.Although the storing of summer components remained high on the agenda,many traders were unsure how strong MTBE values would be next summer,despite the very high values seen this summer.Falling Rhine levels continued to disrupt prompt loadings and limit barge availability.Once again barges were forced to load less than 50% of their potential cargoes.
