Violent clashes between local inhabitants who occupied ChevronTexaco's Escravos oil export terminal in the early hours of Feb 4 have left several injured and some dead.Hundreds of villagers from the Ugborodo community invaded the terminal demanding jobs and development for the community.A spokesman for the US oil major said production and loadings from the world's eighth-largest exporter were not affected.
