The spread between lOppm and 50ppm sulfur diesel barges FOB Rotterdam,which has more than halved from its 2005 peak,was expected to narrow further this month as BP's buying spree on the lOppm subsides,sources said Wednesday.The spread,which was between 50 cts/mt and 4.25/mt during March,blew out to as much as 19.50/mt this month,as BP bought several barges.The spread was at 7.50/mt at Wednesday's close.
