Western oil companies scheduled to load Caspian crude at the Georgian Black Sea port of Batumi said Mar 16 that force majeure had been declared on their cargoes. BP had been scheduled to load a cargo of Kumkol crude from Kazakhstan when the Georgian navy imposed a blockade Mar 13 on the rebel region of Adzharia.The vessel,Sea Nostrum,was told to leave port and diverted north to the port of Poti,trading sources said.All loadings of both crude and refined products for March have been canceled,one source said.These include an 80,000mt cargo cheduled to be lifted by EurAsian Mar 29-31.Products shipments,including a 20,000mt naphtha cargo,a 5,000mt gasoil cargo and two fuel oil cargoes of 25,000mt and 30,000mt respectively,have also been canceled,sources said.
