Valero idles Benicia naphtha reformer

Valero Energy said Friday it has idled the naphtha reformer at its 175,000 b/d Benicia refinery in northern California for 10 days,but is shipping CARBOB gasoline produced at its Corpus Christi refinery in Texas to the San Francisco Bay Area market to cover Benicia's supply requirements.A Valero spokeswoman,in a statement,said the reformer unit was downed to repair a steam leak in one of the plant's flares.
