South Korea: Rolled product exports enjoy double digit growth

Semis demand in South Korea struggled at the beginning of 2013, but improved during the course of the year. In 2013, rolled products and aluminium tubes demand grew 4% and 5% respectively. The growth is due to higher shipments in the electronics sector. The automotive sector hindered semis domestic shipments; automotive production fell 0.9% last year to 4.5 m units.
