Solvay Signs Definitive Agreement to Sell Interest in Vinvthai Subsidiary to AGC

Brussels— Solvay has signed a definitive agreement to sell its 58.77% stake in its Vinythai subsidiary to Asahi Glass Co. (AGC) at a total enterprise value of ?435-million. With the sale, Solvay would exit its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) activities in Asia. Completion of the transaction, expected in the first half of 2017, is subject to customary closing conditions and antitrust approvals.
