Westlake Begins -Ethylene Expansion At Petro 1 Olefins Unit in Louisiana

Lake Charles— Westlake Chemical told PCN it has begun an ethylene expansion at its Petro 1 olefins unit in Lake Charles, La. (PCN, 24 Nov-1 Dec 2014, p 1). The expansion, being done during a planned turnaround that is expected to last approximately 80 days, will increase ethylene capacity at the site by about 250-million lbs/yr to a total of around 1.5-billion lbs/yr.
