Sibur Investing RUB 5.5-BN to Increase Gas Fractionation Capacity at Tobolsk

Tobolsk-Sibur's Investment Committee has approved an investment of an estimated RUB 5.5-billion to expand the raw natural gas liquids (NGL) processing facility at its Tobolsk complex in Western Siberia's Tyumen Region. The project will increase the capacity of the second gas fractionation unit to 4.2-million t/y from 2.8-million t/y, and the site's total gas fractionation capacity to 8-million t/y. It. involves additional equipment for internals, heat-exchange and pump equipment, construction of a cooling tower and expanded feedstock range.
