BASF-YPC Joint Venture Inaugurates Nanjing Acrylic Acid and SAP Plants

Nanjins-The BASF-YPC Co. joint venture of BASF and Sinopec has inaugurated plants for the production of 160,000 t/y of acrylic acid and 60,000 t/y of superabsorbent polymers (SAP) at their Nanjing, China, complex (PCN, 3 June 2013, p 1). The equally-owned joint venture added that a new butyl acrylate plant will begin production at the Nanjing complex later this year.
